Kapton polyimide tape some people call it " caption tape ", is made of polyimide film, double coated with silicone adhesive.
Polyimide film tape is easy to release, compatible with a wide temperature range, applications at temperatures as low as -69ºC to as high as 260ºC, even if you careless put a soldering iron on Kapton tape and it will not melt. Often used for High-temperature resistance, electronics masking, and Class H insulation.
As the powerful Kapton tape temperature resistant and dielectric properties, So it's often called electrical insulation tape, polyimide silicone tape, polyimide high-temperature tape, or heat resistant tape.
Black polyimide tape has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high adhesion, softness and fit, and no glue residue after peeling off. It can be used as powder coating masking tape and is also suitable for ultra-high temperature baking paint and electroplating industries.
